WEST ALABAMA INSTRUCTIONAL PARTNERS NETWORK (WAIPN)
The newest ABPC Network, the IPN was established in 2011 at the request of Deputy State Superintendent Sherrill Parris. Beginning in five districts and 12 schools, the IPN is now organized into five regions with 156 schools in 28 districts. Designed to provide ongoing professional learning and networking to school-based instructional coaches and their principals, the IPN relies heavily on research about effective coaching, change, resistance, and partnerships. The IPN uses Jim Knight’s Unmistakable Impact: A Partnership Approach for Dramatically Improving Instruction, supplemented by other books, articles, and data. |
