AMSTI

The Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative is the Alabama Department of Education’s initiative to improve math and science teaching statewide.  Its mission is to provide all students in Grades K-12 with the knowledge and skills needed for success in the workforce and/or postsecondary studies.

The Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative, commonly referred to as AMSTI, is the Alabama Department of Education's initiative to improve math and science teaching statewide. AMSTI is research-based and incorporates best practices for math and science teaching.

The three main services provided by AMSTI are:
  1. Provide professional development for teachers and administrators.
  2. Provide equipment and materials for student use.
  3. Provide onsite support with teacher mentoring.
